Today Is The 20th Anniversary Of The Death Of Hank Gathers

I really hadn't thought about it until it was mentioned on PTI earlier today.

I saw the footage of Gathers collapsing about 7:30 PM that night. He collapsed and then sat right up. I thought it was nothing serious and that he would be OK.

A couple of hours later, I switched back to ESPN and found out that Hank Gathers was dead. I was absolutely shocked.

Hard to believe that it has been twenty years.

It was horrible...he was convulsing on the floor. And he had great talent. What a terrible tragedy.
