Woods says he’ll return to golf at Masters
PALM HARBOR, Fla. - Tiger Woods will return to golf at the Masters next month.

In a statement Tuesday, Woods said he will play at Augusta National after a four-month hiatus because of a sex scandal.

4. I'd be really, really surprised if he finishes in the top 10
The exposure will be something never before seen on the PGA.

Woods hasn't played competitively in months.

Augusta National requires incredible control, concentration and touch in which to excel.

Woods could end up trying too hard to prove himself -- and fall flat on his face.

5. He hardly has to be at his best to finish Top 10 at Augusta
It's a small field and that course weeds out the pretenders, for the reasons you mentioned. The rough is very light, almost a joke. They call it second cut, not true rough. Tiger would have greatest difficulty coming back at a course where his errant tee shots are penalized.

Tiger has a history of poor to mediocre first rounds at Augusta. If he breaks 70 on opening day, the media will fawn over him and half the legit guys will wilt. That's simply the reality of this era.

I hope he flops but I'd expect otherwise.
