Bryant 90 percent sure he'll play

West Virginia point guard Darryl Bryant, who did not play Saturday in the Mountaineers' win over Kentucky because of a broken bone in his right foot, has been cleared to play in the Final Four.

"I might play the next game,'' Bryant said. "A shoe is being made to take all the pressure off the area. I probably will be able to play in the next game.''

Bryant put the odds of his playing at 90 percent.

"I'm looking forward to it," he said. "I can be effective. I'll be fine. It will be like nothing happened.''

Bryant, who averaged 9.3 points and 3.1 assists a game this season, broke the fifth metatarsal bone in his right foot during practice Tuesday.

West Virginia advanced to the Final Four for the first time since 1959. West Virginia will play the winner of Sunday's Duke-Baylor South Regional final.

14. Gosh, I'm no expert but Duke has won three national titles, the last in 2001.

But Duke hasn't made it to the Elite 8 since 2004. I wouldn't start matching up WVU and Duke just yet. Baylor has beat three low-seeded teams to reache the Elite 8 but they're hot. Like I said, I'm no expert but I've read a prediction or two. The Duke/Baylor game could go either way.

We were lucky against Kentucky. They just couldn't get their shots to drop. Not many threes and foul shooting hurt them. Their defensive strategy was to close up the lane to deny us layups and offensive rebounds. They had obviously assumed that since we don't shoot many threes, we can't. That was a bad assumption and they left us open for the long shots because they were focused on denying us the layups. I can't believe how Mozulla stepped up to play the best game of his life, even hitting his first three of the entire season!

Whoever wins the Duke/Baylor game, we'll be ready - particularly since it looks like Darryl Bryant will be back.
