Poll question: How many baseball games are you getting to this season?
Edited on Tue Mar-23-10 08:19 AM by charlie and algernon
Opening day is an astounding two weeks away! :bounce:

How many games (MLB, Minor League, etc) are you getting to this season?

Me: I've scored tickets to the Nationals Opening Day, my first opening day game ever. I usually get to about 5 games every year. I may do the same this year as well. Besides the Nats game, I'll get to a couple Orioles games and probably a few Bowie Baysox (Orioles AA team). Perhaps even an Iron Pigs game (Phillies AAA) as well.

1. I've only been to two pro baseball games in my lifetime

Don't plan on it this year. Will watch the Rock show whenever they're on TV.

3. 6-15
I have no idea how many major league games I'll go to, but at least that many minor-league games.

I've got the Toledo Mud Hens, Fort Wayne Tincaps, Columbus Clippers, and several others within an easy drive of my house.

4. Maybe one Phillies game,
but I'd like to get to Reading a couple of times this year,

Maybe even Allentown also,

Best case would be to also get back to Pittsburgh for a Bucco's game.

6. None.
Too expensive for my budget, and if I had the free money I'd go see bands instead anyways. When I lived on Cape Cod is was cool to go see the Cape Cod league (good ball!), but there's nothing like that in North Central Mass where I am now.

8. I see the Tigers (in Seattle) as often as I can
and I also enjoy going to go root against the White Sox. And, after last year, this year I'm gonna enjoy going to root against the Twins!

My work usually sends us to a game or two.

9. Planning 3, probably more.
Edited on Tue Mar-23-10 02:26 PM by Renew Deal
Last year I went to 6 in three different stadiums. 3 of those were payoff games. Game 1 of the ALDS, Game 1 of the ALCS, and game 1 of the World Series.

10. Going to try and take in a Cubs game
or two and maybe travel to St. Louis for a cardinal game since I have a ticket connection down there. And there are a lot of Minor League teams within about 70 miles of my house so, since I am in the process of adopting a little Filipina girl, and I want her to like baseball, we will certainly try to take in several of those games.

11. None, baseball doesn't exist to me
I literally don't watch one at bat per season. Well, last year I saw two outs during the final inning of the World Series, for no apparent reason.

I rooted for the Tigers as a kid. Once the Marlins annex Miami I might care a little if they make the playoffs. Otherwise the playoffs will begin without me knowing who is in them, or who had dreadful seasons. I'm surprised it's been so simple to completely ignore. I no longer care enough to debate the demerits of the sport. Anyone who loves it, terrific.

13. You've told us this many times before. And it has gotten very old.
So why don't you just shut the fuck up and stay out of all baseball threads? I mean it. I'm fed up with your shit.

12. at least one...but I'm sorta peeved.
the KC Royals only play one...ONE damn home series against the Mariners, and that is next month....

Damn it all to hell, I was hoping to catch a M's vs. KC game, but can't make it to their one/only home series(for KC)....

I have to choose a weekend series in June.

14. I live a good 100 miles from Safeco
and the Giants aren't playing there this year, so there's not much motivation for me to take the time and spend the money. I'll probably go up there for a game or two anyway....I usually do....I just love watching Ichiro.

15. Probably my usual half-dozen or so.
My boss gave up his season tickets to Dodger Stadium this year, though. And now I'm addicted to really good seats. So maybe fewer than I think, eh?

16. Probably going to 3-4 Phillies games and I will be in San
Francisco over Memorial Day so we are going to see the Giants as well. Might go to the Orioles as well.

I usually get to more. But this year is so busy with Elections, that by June I won't have a moment to spare.
