Stanford women crush hapless Iowa..

In her five years in the Stanford basketball program, Rosalyn Gold-Onwude had never had a night like this. You've got to like her sense of timing.

Swishing her first seven shots, six of them from three-point range, the redshirt senior guard marked her final home game by igniting the Cardinal to a 96-67 whipping of Iowa in the second round of the NCAA Tournament on Monday night.

Another example of a Premier Athletic Conference-10 team residing at or near the top. Now I'm not saying Stanford is necessarily at UConn's level, but 33-1 is nothing to scoff at..

2. The only team other than UCONN that might be better than Stanford right now
is Notre Dame...3 of their losses were to UCONN.

and 3 were to UConn? See, if it wasn't for UConn the women's tourney would be wide open....5 or 6 teams having a decent shot. Now though, there's not much competition for the top spot. Cutting down on interest....Personally, I think UConn's dominance has been bad for women's basketball.

in the men's tourney and have the second ranked team in the nation on the women's side. The PAC-10 also has the #1 ranked baseball team (ASU) in the nation.

You see, the PAC-10 is dominant in all sports, not just a select few. That is why the PAC-10 has won more NCAA National Team Championships than any other conference in history..

Edit: I thought you might like this:

Spanning nearly a century of outstanding athletics achievements, the Pac-10 has captured 380 NCAA titles (261 men's, 119 women's), far outdistancing the runner-up Big Ten Conference's 222 titles
