2. A strange baseball game even for the Mets...

Now 2-1. Will we have a 21st inning stretch?

3. The annoucers: He started the game 0-7, but now has a run
and an RBI.

I love it. I wish I had watched the entire game so I could see the players get moved around like chess pieces.

4. I know. The pitcher is left field and the 3rd baseman is on the mound...
It's crazy. I still think the Mets will snatch defeat from the jaws of victory...

5. Have they gone through all their players yet?
They must be exhausted.

11. I think they used 48 of 50
Two field players pitched for SL. They had a pitcher make a great play in LF.

13. LaRussa didn't use real pitchers for the last few innings
Then again, Manuel's trying to save his job. He certainly managed like he wanted it more.

15. Think of it as a drama
Like a suspenseful movie which builds to a climax. In this case, the climax was a Mets win.

16. Even with all the craziness, St. Louis should have won
Leaving bases loaded in the 12th and the 14th innings, not pinch hitting for the pitcher either time, a strange base running blunder by Ludwick when he broke for home while on third and getting tagged out, and Ludwick again getting allegedly tagged out at second, although he should have been running in that situation. But if the ump gets that call right, Superman, er, Pujols' double would have scored Ludwick and Molina's base hit would have ended the game.
