Since MLB selection of the starting line-ups is by the fans, how many
times do you vote for your player, if you even vote at all.

1. Whatever...I'll play along.
25 times...http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/events/all_star/y2010/ballot.html

But in the Final Vote...which is where the suspicious activity I alluded to occurred, there's no limit..

3. Wrong..
My complaint was with the counting of the Final Vote, not the voters themselves. Victorino pulled a third world and suddenly surged to the lead on the final day...seemed suspicious to me.

Over the period of a couple days during which the Final Vote took place, there were almost 70 million votes tabulated by MLB..Some folks probably voted thousands of times. Like I said, it's encouraged..

5. Never voted for an All- Star game in any sport.
I don't really like any of them that much, though at least in baseball it means something enough to make it interesting. The rest are jokes. The NHL should drop their All Star game and just do the Winter Classic each year imstead. That game counts in the standings and there's points on the line so it's means something.

In the days of the Original Six in the NHL some players didn't like the All Star game because they didn't want to have to be friendly to guys that they played against constantly. :)

6. I did when I was a pre-teen, though I only filled one ballot out a year.
Back when the ballots looked like the old computer punch cards! Seriously!

it reminded me of my obligation to vote. Nothing wrong with getting an early start. So far, I've voted my customary straight Giants ticket about 15-20 times already today....

10. The players and coaches should pick the team
Not rabid, idiot fans who vote multiple times. That is truly a mom's basement dweller mentality.
