Starting pitcher Justin Duchscherer, with a left hip problem.

From the SF Chronicle, 4-30-10: "Oakland is on pace for 66 DL uses this season, more than doubling the team record. Since the start of 2007, the A's have used the DL 74 times."

The injured: Duchscherer, Kirk Suzuki (rib cage strain), Brett Anderson (forearm strain), Mark Ellis (hamstring), set-up man Michael Wuertz (rotator-cuff tendinitis), center fielder Coco Crisp (fractured pinkie) and left fielder Travis Buck (oblique).
