07:34 AM ET 05.10 | Nick Saban's Crimson Tide has a chance to score 100 points against Georgia State, but should it? is likely going to be faced with the choice of dominating until the final whistle while playing the backups to his backups or kneeling on the ball beginning in the third quarter to keep the score in the 70-0 range. Either scenario would be a black eye for both teams and college football. It makes you wonder what would be wrong with beating Samford or Georgia Southern by 50 points instead of risking a potential embarrassment against a program that has no business being on the field with the national champions.

..snip

First of all, why is Alabama playing such a cream puff?

1. Why is Alabama playing such a cream puff?
probably for the same reason OSU is playing Marshall and Eastern Michigan..

2. Might have something to do with Bill Curry, maybe?
Curry coached at Alabama once upon a while ago.
Probably a good way to sell tickets for a first-year program, too.

3. Because Sabear wants it that way...
Thus, he can give his team a "break" and get those boys rested on a short week schedule just before the Auburn game six days later. Although, last rumor I heard was that Sabear was looking to move the GSU game to Thursday night so his boys would have a week to rest up for Auburn.

Hopefully, after the Panthers lose, Curry won't get any more bricks thrown through his window.
