Spyglassgate gets hotter
Rockies' Tracy still peeved over Phillies bullpen espionage
By Jim Armstrong
The Denver Post

What, you think Jim Tracy was animated when he came charging out of the dugout Wednesday to argue a call at first base, a brouhaha that ended with his ejection?

You should have seen the Rockies manager in the dugout before Thursday night's game.

Tracy still is seething over Philadelphia Phillies bullpen coach Mick Billmeyer's use of binoculars in Monday night's game at Coors Field, a tactic that earned the Phillies a warning from Major League Baseball.

Tracy was upset by Billmeyer's stunt, and left no doubt he was convinced the Phillies were stealing signs. But things got amped up even more after Tracy read a comment by Phillies manager Charlie Manuel, who, when asked about teams complaining about his team's tactics, said, "Keep crying. I'm sure if they could steal signs, they would. And if we can, we will, too, if we can get them legally....

1. AFAIK everyone steals signs.
Honestly, do I like it, no but I think its hypocritical of Tracy to keep whining about this. I'm sure he's done his fair share.

2. Isn't there an unwritten rule/agreement not to use artificial means?

7. Billmeyer is Belichick spelled sideways.
Cheaters all. And I've lost all respect for Charlie Manuel. He used to be the Manager of the Colorado Springs Sky Sox. Well fuck him now.
