ridiculously poor play by the keeper. He was too far off his line, a ball fired from that far out should never get behind him. Then he makes a poor effort at stopping the ball....I mean, is that as high as he can jump?

He was inside the 6-yard box, I don't think he considered for a second that some crazy bastard was going to shoot from inside the center circle.

He wasn't playing the shot, he was playing the bounce-around inside the box that anyone else in the world thought was coming.

expecting it or not, seems to me the keeper could have done a heck of a lot more than that..

Watched the Sounders over the weekend..big goal by Montero. About time they got 3 points...maybe that will get them going.

Love the new announcer too...Calabro was okay, but he didn't seem to know much about the game..

6. Montero knows his ass is on the line..and Arlo ROCKS

I was worried about halfway through the second half that Arlo White was going to tear off his headset, leap from the press box to the field and start humping Brad Evans' leg. To be fair, Evans assist on the goal was GORGEOUS. Calabro was not a good soccer announcer. Maybe he'll get a basketball job somewhere (I'm told he does great basketball commentary).

That's what kills me about Montero...he can score when he wants to. It's getting him to want to that Sigi can't sort out. I was very glad to see Fredy sit at the start of the match. Maybe it'll start to sink in that he can't just coast through a match anymore. I'm looking forward to Nkufo's time with the club. The sheer number of nice, clear crosses we put in the box EVERY DAMN GAME THAT NEVER GET CONVERTED should make someone like Nkufo very happy to camp out in front of the net.

8. Give him some credit - he did slap at the ball with one hand while hopping slightly

It looks like the keeper had no notion that a shot was possible there, but he should have processed it while the ball was in the air at least. Love the reaction from the shooter afterward, it looks like he was pretty surprised too...
