The Pac-10, ACC and SEC led all conferences with eight teams selected. The Big 12 had five teams chosen, while the Sun Belt and Big East each landed three spots.

1. A caveman could draw a conclusion from that field, Upton.
Your hatred for the Big Ten is beyond obsessive. Please. For the love of Christ. Seek therapy.

3. I don't need to draw a conclusion..
I know the climate argument has merit...it's a question as to what extent. You seem content to blame all the Big Ten's failures on the weather. It's not that simple.

A major conference like the Big Ten should be at least competitive in a sport like baseball. Heck, the Big East is. Maybe the Big Ten is just having a down year...you tell me, you're the expert.

5. The Big East???
Call the bet, Upton. Whatever amount. Not one Big Least team will advance to the Supers. And I'm not talking about Louisville.

10. Nah..you're probably right.
However, the COLD WEATHER Big East has three teams in the tournament..including one in UConn that is ranked. The Big Ten's top team in Minnesota didn't even receive one lousy vote in the latest rankings. Sad..really sad.

Btw, Minnesota has to go out west to play in a regional that includes CS Fullerton and Stanford...good luck with that.

12. Yeah. Louisville is practically in the Arctic Circle.
The big controversy is why UConn got to be the host school. Should of went to FSU.

13. Doesn't seem right..
FSU is the #1 seed in the region, but has to play at the home of the #2 seed. They were making some excuse on ESPN this morning, claiming that having UConn host was good for college baseball or some other such BS..

14. OMG! The Hypocrisy meter just went off!!
You kept pimping the New York market to get Rutgers in the Big Ten, and now you are bashing a New York market team.

Which is it Condem??

15. Yeah, lads. College Baseball TV #'s are through the roof.
Let's see if we can figure this out, Upton. UConn gets a host seed. Now then. Where is the studios of ESPN located? But there's nothing a little strange going on here. Is there?

Just love it more every time I watch it.

18. Rider has fielded some good baseball teams over the years.
I remember Auburn playing them in the 1967 College World Series, and it was a close, tough game.

17. The Big East championship game was awesome...
the unranked Red Storm - who was perfect through the championship, upsetting the favored Huskies (who, by the way, spent almost the entire tourney in the loser's bracket).

The 4th seeded Red Storm beat Louisville - the favorites - twice during the tournament.

By the way - the Big East rookie of the year, a St. John's freshman, grew up down the street from the house I grew up in. True, he's about 14 years younger than me, but I still remember him when he was a little kid.
