21. The Brooklyn Septics...
I have a feeling at least one Russian is flushing money down the toilet.

In light of this potential move, in an attempt to keep their spot as NYC's worst professional team, the Knicks have rehired Isiah Thomas.

29. Amazingly, yes
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Jersey_Nets#Butch_Beard_era_.281994.E2.80.9396.29

The team's image was so poor that in an effort to shed its losing image, management considered renaming the team "Swamp Dragons" or the "Fire Dragons" in 1994, but rejected the idea.

:wow:

30. Had they named them that in 1994
I would have switched from a Knicks fan to a Swamp Dragon's fan. Amazingly cool name, and yes I'm serious.

32. It was originally Breuckelen
Edited on Tue Aug-17-10 07:54 PM by JonLP24
part of New Netherland. The name Breuckelen is also the same name as a town in the Netherlands. The name evolved a few times before ending with Brooklyn.
