I have a feeling at least one Russian is flushing money down the toilet. In light of this potential move, in an attempt to keep their spot as NYC's worst professional team, the Knicks have rehired Isiah Thomas. http://www.nypost.com/p/blogs/knicksblog/knicks_to_name_isiah_consultant_kkF77XscbADGo7aM8qiJFI

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Jersey_Nets#Butch_Beard_era_.281994.E2.80.9396.29The team's image was so poor that in an effort to shed its losing image, management considered renaming the team "Swamp Dragons" or the "Fire Dragons" in 1994, but rejected the idea.:wow:

I would have switched from a Knicks fan to a Swamp Dragon's fan. Amazingly cool name, and yes I'm serious.

Edited on Tue Aug-17-10 07:54 PM by JonLP24
part of New Netherland. The name Breuckelen is also the same name as a town in the Netherlands. The name evolved a few times before ending with Brooklyn.
