5. Oh yeah. I don't doubt that.
But he does throw alot of INT's. In fact its that last INT he threw in the playoffs that had me convinced he was coming back. He is too big an ego to let that be his last memory...

6. 7 INTs last year.
Only one QB threw fewer, and that guy (Marc Bulger) didn't even play most of the year. Best TD:INT ratio in all of football.

Favre played on quite a few Packer teams that had no business being as good as they were - Favre made them better. To do so, he took risks that sometimes paid off, but sometimes didn't. I think most of the bitter-to-the-point-of-affecting-their-health Packer fans deep down realize this, though they'll never admit it and even go so far as to wish injury on the guy who led them to the best years of the modern (post-merger) era.

8. Well of course!
But without his mostly stellar play in the regular season and the ASS-WHOOPIN' he laid on the Cowpies, would the Vikes have even come close to the NFC Championship game? Hahahah, oh sorry, couldn't keep a straight face asking that one. ;)

...Tavaris Jackson CAN NOT save the day

18. To be sure, Joe Montana himself would have struggled behind your O-Line last year.
That Rodgers (and the team) actually finished as well as they did is pretty impressive. But if your secondary's performance against Cleveland is any indication, you're going to have trouble stopping Favre again.

14. I hate to nit pick
(Even though I always do)

but he did play most of the year-9 games. It was week 11 (after all the bye weeks and 10th game of the season) when he got a season ending injury which I remember very well because it was against the Cardinals. Darnell Dockett sacked him on the Rams last possession and forced a fumble. He was slow to get up after that. I just looked at the game log and it was 9 games he played in--didn't play against SF earlier that year.

15. No prob, I wasn't exactly sure.
But with only 5 TDs I figured it had to have been just a couple of games that he played in! I suppose when you're on a 1-15 team you're not often going to have impressive stats. :)

17. I always thought TD stats
Edited on Thu Aug-19-10 07:37 AM by JonLP24
were kind of misleading--especially on teams with a great running back like STL with Steven Jackson. I look at YPA first. The reason why is on teams like that a QB will record a 50 yard pass to get them inside of the 10 and they just pound it until they get it in. That isn't to say Bulger's stats were misleading. He really has hit a wall and fallen but that could do with receiving options and O-line he has last few years. Actually looking at the game log he only threw 4 passes against GB early in the season which I assume he was injured considering he didn't play against SF the following week and only attempted 7 passes against your team Minnesota the week after that but I must say those 7 passes were great. 7/7 88 yds, and 1 TD. So you may be right that he didn't play most of the season when you take in-account that 3 game stretch. He also had a shut out, a game where the team didn't score any touchdowns, and 3 1 touchdown games so I can't blame Steven Jackson scoring easy touchdowns off his success as to why he has low touchdown numbers. Also I'm now looking and his YPA was poor for 2009 so yeah he had a bad year. Probably why he is in Baltimore.

On edit-The reverse is true as well. Great running backs can also lead to short TD passes for QBs. I've noticed that as well. Which again is why I look at YPA first.
