Brady no fan of Jets, 'Hard Knocks'
http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/New-England-Patriots-QB-Tom-Brady-refuses-to-watch-Hard-Knocks-082310

Tom Brady says he won't watch HBO's ''Hard Knocks'' show featuring the New York Jets because he hates them.

In his weekly contractually-mandated appearance on WEEI radio on Monday, the New England Patriots quarterback said he hasn't turned on the show about the Jets training camp.

Brady says, ''I hate the Jets, so I refuse to support that show.''

Wow, I agree with Tom Brady. I hate the Jets and I won't watch that show either.

1. In this time of diplomacy and controlled sound bites
I have to give Mr. Brady props for sheer honesty and I'm far from a fan...:)

2. The Patriots Probably Have Cameras At Jets Camp Anyway
So Brady wouldn't need to watch the show.

3. Another reason for me to like the Jets.
Tom Brady is a douche. I like the coaching style of Mr. Ryan.

9. And that is a valid point
But I like the hard-nosed defense. The Jets have become my AFC team. They'll have a ring next year after the Vikes win one this year

11. The Jets are loaded with a bunch of overpriced old Free Agents
and will implode in a locker room of discontent... Their hubris will be their undoing... Bank

14. Just Like The 2000 Redskins
And I expect pretty much the same result with the Jets.

15. I don't believe so
Other than the signings to fill gaps I could call them a team loaded with old, overpriced free agents. LaDanian Tomlinson, you could say is old. I won't argue you there. Overpriced? I don't so. He is going to make around $2.7 million a year for two years. He could make more if he performs well on the field. 2.7 is not a very high number at all when it comes to a NFL contract. Lavernous Coles, I can't find his salary but I do know it is 1-year. He has had some success for the team but his time with the Bengals was very short and he didn't play too well so it could be a bad signing, but if it doesn't work out they can release him no problems with the 1-year contract. Don't know if he was over-payed relative to other players with his experience and talent. Jason Taylor is the only other major signing I could think of and since you're a Dolphins fan, I won't say argue if you want to say he is overpriced or old because you would know much better than I would or do. His contract is basically a 1 year deal. He has a $750,000 guaranteed salary that is very incentive laden. If the Jets pick up his option for next year he has a more lucrative contract and gets bonuses based on how he did the year prior. Like he gets an extra $2 million for 10 sacks.

Cromartie & Holmes were picked up through trades of low round draft picks so they aren't free agent signings.

Don't know about success. I don't make predictions very often when it comes to pro football. I just root for my team and hope they make it, no matter how delusional that might be some years.

16. Good analysis...
but there's something about that team--- maybe the hubris, that makes me think by mid-season, they'll implode.

18. He went 17-0 after video gate
and was a Tyree catch away from going 18-0.

Brady is a great QB and anyone who thinks differently is just a plain out stupid fuck.

13. I'm a Jets fan, and I won't watch the show because...
we don't get HBO.

And when Tom Brady turns 45 or 50 and the Jets decide that he's the perfect guy to replace an injured Mark Sanchez at QB, I'm sure he'll be all conciliatory and decide the Jets are awesome.

Because...you know...the Jets have a history of signing really really old guys at QB.
Favre
Testaverde
Esiason (okay, Boomer wasn't THAT old when signed, only 32)
