1. Meanwhile...
Byron Leftwich likely to miss opener

<snip>

"Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Byron Leftwich has a second-degree sprain of the medial collateral ligament in his left knee, sources told ESPN senior NFL analyst Chris Mortensen on Friday.

Leftwich, who was injured in Thursday night's preseason game, avoided a complete tear of the MCL, but nevertheless it remains a debilitating injury that is likely to prevent him from starting Pittsburgh's regular season opener.

An MRI confirmed the injury, the sources said. Leftwich was expected to start during Ben Roethlisberger's suspension,

Leftwich told the Steelers initially that he wanted to avoid surgery and believed he could still start against the Atlanta Falcons a week from Sunday, but a team source termed that possibility as "not likely," Mortensen reports.

Dennis Dixon is now expected to start for Pittsburgh."

7. Did you follow the case?
Evidence was covered up. The prosecuter wanted to charge but the VICTIM did not. Plenty of witnesses too. There is no doubt he assaulted her. But I guess eye witness testimony of him walking around with his dick hanging out means nothing. Oh and the fact that a policeman who helped Big Ben was fired for misconduct means nothing. That dick should be in jail. But thanks to physical evidence being destroyed by his bodyguards he is not.

8. Hearsay. Nothing you wrote is true.
The DA did all he could to make a name for himself on this case. But there was no their, there. There's not enough 409 in the world to wipe away a rape. It didn't happen, get over it.

2. Here's a better link....
NEW YORK (AP)—Ben Roethlisberger’s(notes) suspension has been reduced from six games to four by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.

The Pittsburgh Steelers’ star quarterback met with Goodell early Friday and was told he could return on Oct. 17 against Cleveland.

Roethlisberger was suspended in April for violating the league’s personal conduct policy, but Goodell said at the time he would review Roethlisberger’s behavior over the next few months. Goodell was satisfied that the player has followed the league’s guidelines and stayed out of trouble.

Roethlisberger was accused of sexually assaulting a Georgia college student following a night of drinking in a Milledgeville, Ga., bar on March 5. He was not charged by Georgia authorities.
