Notre Dame trailing 21-7 at halftime. Takes a 24-21 lead nearly at the end of the 4th quarter but some time left. Michigan takes a 28-24 lead with 27 seconds left and hold to the win. A lot of big players. Denard Robinson with 87 yard TD run. Crist threw the 2nd longest pass in Notre Dame history to take the lead.
Congrats Michigan. :toast:

Denard Robinson had 502 yards of offense. Himself!
I am rooting for ND from here on out. They've always been my second favorite team.
It was a game for the ages, for sure. A great win. And ND is headed in the right direction under Kelly. He's a really good coah.

the college version of the Cowpies loses!!!
P.S. The long ND touchdown* was yet another "DeSean", just like Marshall's last night. And they both lost. :P

5. Actually, ND had a longer touchdown pass than that one |
|
The 95 yarder at the end was clean; it was the one at the start of the half that was like the Marshall score. On one hand, calling those plays touchdowns doesn't bother me too much since clearly nobody on the defense could stop wither player. But I'd like to see some kind of consequence for that kind of cluelessness - it seems unfair to see flags for unnecessary flips and dives into the endzone while there's no consequence for failing to actually maintain possession of the ball across the goal line.
Of course, there's a long history of possession of the ball being optional in scoring touchdowns. Longtime Michigan fans will surely remember a certain Rose Bowl play from the '70s vs. USC...
The best part of this was that just before ND's go-ahead score, the sun came out, N(D)BC showed a rainbow and the announcers were gabbling about pots of gold and hinting at divine favor - and ND went ahead and scored, seeming to lend credence to the idiocy of all the people who imagine God cares who wins a football game. And then Robinson's drive put an end to that...
