Shoelace Surprises South Florida...
NOT.

Michigan quarterback once starred at Deerfield Beach and his early-season performance surprises no one there

By Christy Cabrera Chirinos, Sun Sentinel
5:54 p.m. EDT, September 16, 2010

A nationally syndicated radio host called him "the most exciting player in college football."

He's been on the cover of USA Today and several Facebook fan pages have sprung up in his honor.

Actually, if you're searching the popular social networking site and come across Denard Robinson's profile, don't even bother trying to request him as a friend. The Michigan quarterback already has so many requests the system has become overloaded.

After a pair of impressive performances that have helped Michigan return to Top 25 status in both major college football polls, the former Deerfield Beach High quarterback is in high demand...

1. I love it
He already has the Heisman pose ready!!

This kid is really good. I love that he's from here in Florida and plays for my old hometown in Michigan.

3. I was a bit surprised he didn't play more last year
Forcier may have known the playbook better, but Robinson could obviously run circles around anyone on the field - the only problem last year was that he kept seeing spot duty, sometimes in desperate situations, and couldn't develop any kind of rhythm in his passing game.

He is clearly the man for this system...
