Mayweather in big trouble
Really bad stuff if guilty.

Mayweather faces 8 charges, 4 of them felonies

LAS VEGAS -- Undefeated boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. was hit Thursday with three more felony charges in a domestic violence case that already had him facing a theft charge.

Clark County District Attorney David Roger significantly raised the ante in the case alleging that Mayweather hit and threatened the life of his ex-girlfriend, Josie Harris, and threatened to beat two of their children during a pre-dawn argument at the woman's home a week ago.

Mayweather, 33, is one of boxing's most recognizable figures, with a record of 41-0 and 25 knockouts. The welterweight goes by the nickname "Money" and earned more than $20 million in May in one fight in Las Vegas against "Sugar" Shane Mosley

Mayweather remained free on $3,000 bail pending arraignment Nov. 9 following his arrest last Friday on a felony grand larceny charge.

1. Yep.
In 2007, then-candidate Barack Obama considered Floyd to be one of the athletes he could appear in public with. He is a boxing fan, and had respect for Mayweather's uncanny skills in the ring -- the idea that opponents could throw their best punches at Floyd, but not touch him. One of his top aides (I think it was Axelroad) knew more about Floyd's history outside of the ring.

The Mayweather family has an ugly history in terms of domestic abuse. I admire Floyd's skills in the ring, and think that in many ways, he is a good man. But he has to be held responsible for this behavior. He needs to be treated like any other person -- man or woman -- who engages in this type of unacceptable, anti-social behavior. He needs to be a man here, and accept responsibility, and engage in the treatment necessary for changing his attitude and behavior. That's a far more important battle than any he has in the boxing ring.

Obama's batting a thousand, isn't he?

And Mayweather was so good in that wireless internet commercial with Bill Kurtis.
