1. The team that scores the most points usually wins any athletic contest
But isn't it golf where a high score is bad?

2. I like the USA with one proviso
Pavin has to be bright enough to pair Tiger with Stricker, the combo that Couples stumbled upon last year at the President's Cup. IMO, it's the perfect slotting for Tiger and changes the Ryder Cup math.

3. Stricker -Tiger would be good.
Deep down I think Pavin didn't want to choose Tiger and he already sent out a trial balloon that he wasn't going to play him that much. That being said I don't think many of the US players are playing very well. Mickelson has played so so for at least 3 months and if you take out the Masters he had a very average year. Fowler hasn't played well in months. I don't have a lot of confidence in this group. I think Tiger is playing better than Phil.

4. What Wilt Said
Also, Tiger missed the last tournament because of the FedEx format. So, you know he's pissed and has had an extra week to get "unstuck" between swings.

I think he'll surprise people. But, Europe looks awfully strong.

5. I left out that he didn't want to choose
Tiger for 2 reasons- his morals and he's a buddhist and he hasn't accepted his savior Jesus Christ.

6. ditto to this paring.....Stricker - Woods....
I think Steve does so much better when he's got company and not just shooting for himself....... and Tiger seems to be better at match play when he's with Steve. USA USA USA :patriot:
