Big 12 action: Nebraska Vs. Kansas State. Both 4-0
To be televised nationally this coming Thursday night, Oct. 7.

Huskers ranked 7 and 6, respectively in AP and USA Today polls. Wildcats not ranked -- but they are 4-0 against some quality opponents. Should be a good game

This game sets the stage for a showdown in Lincoln with the Texas Longhorns the following week. After having been jobbed in last year's Big 12 playoff (officials added a Magic Second at the end of the game to hand it to Texas), VENGEANCE is in the Husker heart.

My Hawkstradamus prediction: Nebraska will win this game and the Big 12 North, and face Big 12 South winner Oklahoma (5-0, #5) (beat Texas last Sat.) in this year's Big 12 Championship.

Good thing. Otherwise the classic OK-NE rivalry would have just ended with a whimper (as NE moves on to the Big Ten). This way it will likely end with a SMASH BANG CRASH in the championship game come December.

2. I Wonder Which Nebraska Will Show Up
Will it be the Nebraska that played Washington, or the Nebraska that played South Dakota St?

I am really looking forward to Nebraska vs. Texas.

3. Big 12 Coaches have picked Kansas State to win the Big 12 Championship
..this just in, based on a coaches poll released Tuesday

So the coaches have a sense that KS Wildcats got some moxie.

That casts the game against Nebraska in a different light. The game is in Manhattan, so the Wildcats will have hometown backing for this...get your raccoon coat ready...

Hey, the New York Times sports section did a story about the Huskers game in Manhattan tonight...end of over 100 years of rivalry...

"...Nebraska remains the standard-bearer for the nation’s farming football fans..."

Did you see him shoot through the line for that 80 yard TD run? He's got wicked rapid acceleration
