WTF? No thread about the potential Moss trade yet? |
|
Sports forum, I am so disappointed.
Trade rumors started last night and now today everyone's saying it's basically a done deal. However Moss might not get the contract extension he wanted from the Pats. Sure will be interesting to see a Favre-Moss combo though.

This trade bothers me, I wasn't exactly sad to see Moss go, even though he gave us plenty of highlights. Hell the dude made Daunte Culpepper look like a pro QB.
But when Moss is on, he's on. Ask me at the end of the season what I think. :)

13. He got us to the NFC Championship. |

How'd your $72 million waste do for you last year? Oh, yeah, you lost in the wildcard game.

14. Because he had had to play a sh**y Dallas team, then when the game's on the line... |
|
he makes a stupid throw...LIKE HE'S ALWAYS DONE!
Good luck getting to the playoffs this year when the Vikings actually have to play decent teams...you guys had the weakest schedule of any team last year.

15. We shall see. Seems like a pretty crazy season overall. |

Just don't think the NFC Championship is denial. And "like he's always done"? He did win a Superbowl, ya know. And a lot of other games that were close, too. Don't give in to the meme that Favre is an interception machine.

16. Weakest schedule based on what? |
|
I know that they played Green Bay twice which was a 10 win team that made the playoffs. Also they had games against the AFC North which sent two teams to the playoffs. If you're thinking of that flawed, using 2008 records for a 2009 schedule SoS rating, that had Chicago as playing the "weakest schedule".

6. That's not completely a fair assessment. |
|
I loved Randy Moss, but when he walked off the field at the end of the Redskins game the last year with the Vikings I was done with him. He had become a cancer. But he was a magic man at the beginning of his career. Absent Denny Green coaching like a goddamned idiot, Moss and Co. should have made the Super Bowl. How do you have the highest scoring offense ever at that point and take a knee at the end of the game (sorry, still bitter about that Atlanta loss)? Moss was a major contributor to the team. I'm hoping that Favre gives him that passion to win.
But, seriously, they need a receiver. Badly.
