5. congrats. my Reds had a great year, but their hitting has been weak the past few wks & Rolen didn't
Edited on Mon Oct-11-10 09:45 PM by Divine Discontent
finish good at all, so despite good pitching, we got beat by the Phils $140mil team of superpitchers. My hope is that Lincecum (my fave pitcher) can show some freak-tastic skill and shutout the Phils 1-0 against Halladay! I'm a Giants fan for now!!!

6. I was actually sort of hoping that the Reds would be in the NLCS
So we could've seen a Lincecum-Arroyo matchup-

The West Coast Freak vs. the Cuban Freak.

Who wouldn't want to see that?

16. And yet who is in the playoffs, and who is rebuilding?

Sorry, but I've had this on my mind this post season. I love the Cubbies, but, as we've learned since Baker left, there was much more to the tale.

8. I was secretly hoping the Giants would get the winning run
by a walk when the bases were loaded. It *almost* happened, but this is the 2nd best scenario (for a Giants fan, anyway).

:woot:

22. No offense, but beating the Braves in one run games is no great achievement right now.
They will get swept by the Phillies.

23. and likewise, winning a few close games against the Reds despite their horrible defensive play
doesn't bode too well for the Phils offense! The Giants pitching starters and their closer are better, imo, than the Phils starters and their.... closer.
