3. It was a crazy, busy week at work.
I guess in this economy that's a real good thing! I missed condem's college thread, also.

Yes, I actually work and am not posting from my mother's basement bedroom, contrary to what some folks think!

and LeBron only had 4 T's in 09/10.

Far below the league leaders with 15.

10. That's because they weren't handing out as many tech's to star players
bitching to the refs. I suspect some of my Celtics will have an issue with this as well, but Lebron was as bad as anyone.

Jordon get called for?

12. Jordan says
Edited on Sun Oct-17-10 04:44 PM by JonLP24
he could score 100 points in today's NBA because they call fouls much more often than they did back then. He says he would either get to the line a lot or opposing players would be forced by the refs to let him score.

You are flirting with "douche-itude" by that comment.

And Dwight Howard is definitely one of the elite players in the League.

Maybe you were confusing him with Josh Howard.

8. Nice win against a tough team on the road.
The Phins are still driving me crazy. They certainly have the talent but the coaching just isn't that good. Henne still has a ways to go before we can rely him to carry the team.

B. Marshall is a beast---Wake a certain All Pro---and the running game is nails.

Edited on Sun Oct-17-10 05:37 PM by Bluzmann57
So maybe ARodg is trying to point that out to the "officials". As far as today's game is concerned, I STILL haven't seen a penalty on no. 49 of the Packers on the punt. Fuck Hochule and his crew.

14. You forgot the quotation marks around "touches"
He is a very physical corner. I actually like that type of play. But that type of play is going to get you penalties. I thought the Packer crowd was embarrassing themselves with all the booing on calls. Like the lining up on center for a punt. He did and it's a rule you can't. Sure he waiting until the center released from the line before he hit him, but these are big boys in the pros and they need to know that you can't line up over center.

15. I looked over my post
And no, I didn't forget the quotation marks around the word touches. I was watching a Bears game at the same time as the Packers were on and Tillman blasted a Seahawks reciever before the ball got there and guess what? No flag.

16. OK, you're right
Woodson is just a victim of a league-wide scheme to call penalties on him. It has nothing to do with the way he plays his position (which, again, I have indicated I liked).

21. Considering the number of helmet-to-helmet hits he's taken with no penalty called
I'd say he has a right and an obligation to complain. Some of the older, more established QBs get those calls all the time.

26. Oh bullshit...
he was crying anytime he simply got touched during the Phin game. There was not helmet to helmet shots during that game.

Oh---and he was sacked 5 times so in mho---he should be complaining about his O-Line---not the refs.

29. I'll stand by my statement
He took some brutal illegal hits during last year's AZ playoff game. On two consecutive plays in overtime, he was hit, helmet-to helmet (no call), followed by a facemask (also no call). If he can get a call that he rightfully deserves, then it helps his team.

But you're right in that the O-line could use some criticizing.

30. Favre took some wicked hits in last year's NFCC game.
So bad that even the league apologized for the missed calls - one of which would have negated an INT and given the Vikes the ball in scoring range.

Shit happens, and not just to your precious Packers.
