1. In spite of the embarrassment we call the Cowboys, life can still be sweet in Texas!
Go Rangers!

3. Thank God, because obviously there was interefence in the first inning...
hate to see Satan win anytime, and if for some reason they won, byt say 1 run, you know they would not have deserved it.

14. No, it's the New York Rankees
That's what we used to call them on the schoolyards of California to mock their fans.

6. I heard last night..
that this is the first time in Yankees history that they've lost 3 consecutive playoff games by 5 runs or more. Lets hope the Rangers can finish them off..

7. I still want the Phillies to win
(because I'm dying for a Cliff Lee vs. Roy Halladay matchup) but I think it would be cool to have both the Rangers and the Giants in the World Series since neither team has ever won it.

8. I tend to want rangers-Giants and let a new team win...
as soon as the Wankmes are elimintaed though, my interest will drop to around zero.

9. Huh. I'm completely opposite of you.
The moment the Wakmees and their obnoxious fans are gone, I can completely enjoy the playoffs even if I have no attachment to either time in the WS.....

13. I missed it. But I remember Jeffrey "bleeping" Maier well enough
I was somewhat of an O's fan back then. I think thats where my Yankees hate started.

Yankees fan Jared Macchirole says he didn't touch Nelson Cruz's glove on Robinson Cano home run

BY Kristie Ackert
DAILY NEWS SPORTS WRITER

Jared Macchirole says he has no desire to become the next Jeffrey Maier, but during Tuesday night's Game 4 of the ALCS, he took his place in new Yankee Stadium history.

In the second inning, Robinson Cano launched a ball to right field and Texas' Nelson Cruz tried to make a leaping grab. Cruz's glove appeared to hit the hands of Macchirole, a 20-year-old college student from the Middle Village section of Queens, and the ball hit the top of wall before landing in the seats for a home run.

Macchirole, who was interviewed by the Daily News moments after the play, said he did nothing wrong.

"I saw it hit cement, it definitely hit cement," said Macchirole, who was wearing a Derek Jeter Yankees jersey and a Yankee cap backward. "I didn't touch his glove."

18. What really pisses me off about l'affair Maier . . .
. . . is not that the umpire clearly blew the call (that happens) or even that the Yankees went to the WS (unfortunately, that happens way too often), but the way Steinbrenner publicly treated the kid like a hero for interfering with the play.
