Great game. My tailgate always gets to party with Barry Alverez's daughter win or lose, so this game is always special. We are severely bummed over the loss but we somehow have to get off the floor for MSU, next week. Enough ifs to fill a fucking keg but that's the game of football. You made the bigger plays. Well done!! I hope it looked as good on the box as it did live. The weather held out because a huge storm has just arrived. Man, I just love this shit!!

4. I'm incredibly proud of my Badgers Offense |
|
Missing Toon, Kendricks, White, and Konz (center) and still they were able to move the ball effectively. Just shows you the depth they have on offense.
Great game by Iowa's Offensive line. Wisconsin got no pressure all game...though Watt got just enough of Stanzi to make a difference at the end.

8. I also dont understand this whole clock managment fiasco. |
|
I noticed it live and when i rewatched the ending, but the announcers were saying that Stanzi was in formation to spike the ball, but instead they took the timeout...no he wasnt. He was standing in the shotgun when the time out was taken. You dont clock the ball when your in the shot gun, you do it under center. So maybe its still poor clock management, but lets not pretend they were ready to spike the ball, because the formation showed they werent.

And it get's more moronic with the passing of a night. So many mental errors. The offsides on the kickoff cost us 32 yards. Gave the Badgers a short field. We have lots of work to do to pull this season out. Enjoy the bye week!

10. I think the announcers were seeing what should have been happening |
|
Everyone lined up quickly, but as you say Stanzi wasn't under center. Did Stanzi just space out? They certainly would have had no trouble killing the clock had all 11 players been on board with the plan...

11. Game awareness, caraher. It starts with coaching. |
|
Start of the third quarter. First drive. We get a beneficial spot but we mill about with our heads up our asses for thirty seconds. Bielema calls a TO, the spot is reviewed and it's 4th down. A punt and a Whisky drive. And the Badgers aren't even charged for the TO. Little shit like this drives you fucking nuts. We won't even go into the 3rd and inches that resulted in a missed FG.

12. There were a lot of little things like that going against Iowa... |
|
and mostly self-inflicted.
Time to look ahead to next week... if they take down the Spartans that will leave one monumental logjam atop the Big Ten!

As I told Faygo, last years game was THE hardest hitting affair I ever had the pleasure of witnessing.

MadBadg and no beating up on Ferentz either. Our special teams were less than special and our clock management is questionable, but the Badgers came to win and did. Enjoy. Well done!
