World Series: Interesting stat... |
|
Edited on Mon Oct-25-10 10:25 AM by Auggie
Texas lost only one away game in interleague play -- meaning, no DH in the line-up. They were 8-1. The Giants record with the DH was 1-5
ON EDIT: Should have been posted in an existing baseball thread. Apologies...

looking at the Giants schedule right before I came to the post and I noticed they were swept by the A's on the road but they swept the A's at home. I don't have a point, I was looking to answer joey's question if SF played Texas this year which they didn't.
It is an interesting stat and something I will keep in my mind throughout the series.

2. I think that the Giants swept the Rangers in Frisco last year. |
|
I was reading an article yesterday that said that. I can't find it now. It also said that the Rangers have lost 9 or 11 straight to the Giants. And the first ever interleague game was played at Candlestick in 1997 between them.

3. You've got that wrong.. |

the first interleague game was played in Texas, not in San Francisco....and while it's true the Giants have beaten the Rangers 11 straight, that's only at home..
