4. Why would you hope that? |
|
 He's a decent, likable guy.

3. Broken collarbone? Not even sure his season's over. |
|
Why would it end his career?

8. Oh, that's good that it's not his career. |
|
I was thinking that the clavicle might interfere with the action of throwing.

9. Actually I don't even have cable |

I was going off what a DUer reported what a MNF guy said which was this type of injury takes 8-10 weeks. That is what I was going off of. I have no idea of the specifics.

10. It's his left collarbone. |
|
It would hurt like a mother to throw now, but he's right handed, so it shouldn't matter. Aside from being excruciating, I mean.
What's over is Dallas's season. I've never understood why they signed Jon Kitna, and after what they just said Garrett said about it, it's even worse. Garrett says when a backup QB goes in, he changes the offense to plays the QB is familiar with rather than the plays the starter ran, to make it easier for the QB. Think about that for a moment--he changes what 10 guys on the field practiced all season to make it easier for the QB, who will now be running plays the rest of the offense isn't ready for.
The Cowboys would be a Super Bowl contender with ANY other offensive coordinator.

11. Roy Williams talked Jerry Jones into signing him |
|
and I believe he made a pretty good case. That while they were teammates in Detroit he was able to come in there and move the offense relatively well and give them a shot at winning.

12. Great. The Roy Williams trade continues to curse us. |
|
They actually traded a good corner for Kitna, which made it worse.
And being better than a the starting Detroit QB before Stafford isn't much of an accomplishment. :(
Although Roy's been playing well this year.

probably just his/the season.
Maybe those Cowboy fans that constantly bash Romo, will learn to appreciate him a little now.

14. An injured Romo reveals the real problem with the offense, if Jones is smart enough... |
|
Edited on Tue Oct-26-10 12:26 AM by MilesColtrane
to notice it.
The fact that Romo was so good at scrambling and delivering accurate throws on the run helped mask just how sorry the Cowboys' offensive line is.
Skullface Jerry needs to address three situations for this thing to work next year.
1) New head coach...a hard ass who teaches discipline. Cowher would be nice.
2) Get some O-linemen who can play.
3) Get some corners and safeties who can play.

15. No - as Jaworski said during the broadcast, he came back from the same injury |
|
As have others. Romo may even be back by the end of the season, especially if Dallas manages to turn it around and get into the playoff hunt. If not, he'll probably end up on IR around Week 10 or so.

16. No... tough injury but he will come back |
|
I hope he doesn't rush like Bradford did at OU last season and wind up getting injured in the same area. That said, I dislike the Cowboys and always have. But looking at that team it's easy to see where the problems are as someone just looking at it from the outside and not as one of their fans. It's the owner. I know it's his toy but the performance since he's become super involved in every detail of the team should give him a clue that he needs to step back and hire people that know what they're doing. And not a bunch of yes-men who defer to him like he's a football genius. He's not.
