I'm rooting for the Giants, but I'm wondering if they blew their wad tonight.

I mean this is not a hitting team...

3. This was a different team
the second half of the year. Additions like Posey, Burrell and Ross...they have become a hitting team. Just ask Cliff Lee.

4. They averaged barely more than three runs a game against Philly.
And less than that against Atlanta.

5. It doesn't matter
they've gotten the clutch hits when they've needed them. Buck rattled off some stat earlier in the game about how some half of the Giants runs in the post season have been scored with two outs. Same thing happened tonight...5 runs after two were out in the 5th. That's how you win championships.

6. Those stats don't mean much, in general, however.
The odds go with who scores the most runs period.

9. For the regular season..
The Giants finished 9th in the 16 team NL in runs scored. Average, but a far cry from last year and the first part of this year (before the addition of players like Posey, Burrell, and Ross) when they were right at or near the bottom. And when you add in the best team ERA in all of MLB, that's a formula for success....

Run production almost always goes down for any team during the post season. As they're facing one of the other club's top three starters game after game.

All that being said, they obviously can't continue to allow the Rangers 7 runs a game and expect to win.

14. Well, they're not allowing the Rangers much of anything.
Especially when it matters.

10. You have no worries
The Rangers have taken suckdom to a spectacular new level.

I predict this series will be over on Sunday.

Sad, but that's how it is.

13. I think we have 20 runs scored by the Giants in two games...
This one (unlike last night) is a shutout deep in the bottom of the 8th.

Where the hell did Nolan Ryan get that suit he's sporting?
He looks like a fucking rube.
