Why did he leave The Angels? Was it a trade? Who did the Angels get? Or.. did he just want to go to the Rangers? Free Agent?

5. His production had declined, and he seemed vulnerable to injuries.
Thus, the Angels didn't appear to show much interest him, after they paid him $15 million last year. Texas took a chance, since it needed a DH, and it definitely got its money's worth.

7. Yeah, Matsui wasn't horrible as the Angels DH, but Vlad was better.
So many of the choices front offices make are gambles, though.
