8. I wouldn't knock Wisconsin
They got massive linemen and an excellent running game. Their QB is very good as well.

With all this talk about SoS being so freakin' important, TCU has a SoS comparable to Ohio State. TCU (76) Ohio St (64).

I don't think TCU belongs under the current system. I would like to see a playoff though.

Arizona State is #6. Put them in a bowl game!! :argh:

11. Anytime Ohio State gets knocked out of the Rose Bowl, it's a happy day
It's an arrogant school with an arrogant program. Plus, their mascot looks like a member of a race of humanoid freaks that evolved from radioactive hazelnuts:

Was there another college with the same name that people kept mixing it up with or something?

18. I thought football season had been over in Canada for a month or two, so I wouldn't
worry about a "The"!!

BTW, has the cold snap ended? My sister was telling me she could not take her dog out the last few days because of the weather. (north of Anchorage).

It's not that cold here in Juneau(which also isn't part of Canada)at the moment, although it's snowed heavily the last two days and it's now getting rainy and slushy.

24. Updated SoS rankings...
through Dec. 4

Auburn-16

Oregon-20

TCU-82

In fact, TCU's SoS is the worst of any team in the top fifteen. Even Boise is higher at 70. TCU not only doesn't belong in the NCG, they don't even belong in a BCS bowl. So count your blessings.

33. The reason that is
Oregon and Stanford have a combined 23-1. (notice they are not in the top 5 and Stanford is higher than Oregon in SoS--because Stanford had to play Oregon and well, Oregon didn't play Oregon)

As you scroll down the Pac-10 standings, you'll see the SoS getting tougher for each team because they had to play teams better than themselves. The reason why Oregon State is #1 (even though they are middle of the pack in the Pac-10) is because they had TCU and Boise State as non-conference opponents.

As far as him being a fraud, his rankings are widely used and respected by gamblers.

34. What Jon said..
and let me just add... the reason a team like UW is #2 in SoS, is because not only did they play Oregon and Stanford, but they also played Nebraska.

Plus he uses up to 240 teams. You see teams like Northern Arizona ranked higher than FBS teams such as Vanderbilt.

39. I think you got fucked over, playoffs needed
Think of yesterday's SEC final. The 2 teams together had a -1 against UK with the Cats beating South Carolina by 4 and losing to soon to be National Champs Auburn by 3 with no time on the clock. Auburn, playing great ball now still could be beaten. LSU, undefeated a few years back got fucked over too by the bowl system. A playoff would give a solid champ.
