BOOMER SOONER!!!
The Sooners rack up another Big 12 Championship. :woohoo:

Husker defense played a great game--had some bend, but not much break. Nebraska had a 17 point lead early in the second quarter, but then the Sooners stepped up on both sides of the ball.

Congrats to the Huskers, and good luck in the Big 10. It sure has been fun. Maybe the next time these two teams play it'll be in a bowl game :)

Oklahoma played an ok game, and their defense was good. But the Husker just stunk the joint out -- and deserved the loss. Not much fun to watch.

3. I'm not saying the Husker offense didn't make mistakes, but the OU defense didn't play "okay"
They played a great game. They had a good game plan and the players executed very well, with the exception of two plays in the first half and a few missed tackles in the fourth quarter. Outside of the two plays in the first half, they held the Huskers to about 200 yards. Had several sacks, got a few turnovers, forced several mistakes and were able to take advantage of them. They were in a big hole tonight and fought their way back. They deserved the win.

The Sooner offense wasn't quite as good as they usually are, but in general they played smart, chipping away at the clock and the field. Landry Jones wound up with 300+ yards against one of the nation's best secondaries. Boy, Nebraska was very tough on defense in the red zone--if OU had been able to capitalize on those possessions a bit better, the game wouldn't have been in doubt at the end. But OU's struggles in the red zone weren't the result of OU playing poorly, they were the result of Nebraska playing quite well against the goal line.

4. woohoo!
Couldn't believe it when they were down 17 points, but they clawed back. And after struggling mightily in the fourth quarter all year, they came through when it counted tonight.

A good night for the Sooner Nation! :toast:
