2. Big Ben would have been a loser
if it wasn't for that fumble Polamalu created with about 3 minutes left. So he moved them 9 yards for the their only TD of the game..BIG DEAL

6. meh, the whole game sucked.
Flacco sucked, too. All I'm saying is that Ben has no quit in him. Broken foot and broken nose. Off the field he is a douche.

9. What you saw was a game between two excellent pass defenses
However I dispute Flacco "sucked". Yes he barely completed about 50% but his YPA was 8.1 so that means he was getting the ball down field consistently the whole game. Plus the 1 TD to 0 Ints. You have to put his numbers in context. He was facing the #7 pass defense. Much like you got to put Ben's numbers in context. Ben was facing the #4 pass defense.

12. I suppose you have a point.
"Sucked" from This viewer's perspective - the game was boring...

I expected more from Flacco...and less from BB...

13. I can totally see why
However this was exactly the type of game I was expecting. I would of been shocked if the score was 30-27.

8. I wouldn't expect him to have a great game against a top 5 pass defense
However the point about him being a "gamer" still stands.

These are his yet-to-be updated stats for the season. 62.3%, 8.30 YPA, 12 TDs-4 Ints. This game he got 6.7, 1 TD, 1 Int on 60% so bring the YPA and completion percentage down a little bit. 13 TDs-5 Ints.

15. But.. but...
Big Ben made the greatest play in NFL quarterback history by tossing the ball out of bounds. Collinsworth said so!!!

16. He didn't say it was the greatest play in NFL history
Edited on Mon Dec-06-10 10:22 AM by JonLP24
but he did say it was great play and he was right. He was able to break Terrell Suggs tackle, get outside the pocket, and throw it out of bounds. Breaking a tackle with Suggs all over is very impressive by itself, the ability to escape a sack and throw it out is always a good play.

I always yell, "Great play" when the QB for my team can avoid the pressure and get rid of it. Throwing the ball away is a very important part of the passing game.

17. Oh, sure, it was a great play, and you're right that I didn't quote him exactly
But that was just the kind of highlight the game generated.
