3. And another question
is where will the Bears and Vikes play the scheduled Monday night game?

4. My money's on the U of Minn's new football stadium.
TCF Bank Stadium. It's only a couple of miles from the dome. Outdoor football returns to Minnesota!

5. The Vikes should go for it,
'cause either the Patriots are that good, not very doubtful, or the Bears stink on ice! (badumBum!)

We know that, BECAUSE OF GAMBLING, that they couldn't play there this weekend.

But next week would be cool.

6. Can they move the hashmarks?
I heard that was one reason they didn't play there this week. Certainly a small reason. Bigger reasons were Giants not bringing outside gear, no cameras ready, no instant replay ready, and hadn't been used since November. Most of those can be fixed.

7. They could probably just draw some temporary hashmarks for the pro locations.
Ever watch the Hall of Fame game in the preseason? That field in Canton is marked up for HS, college, and pro simultaneously!

But the worst problem for TCF Stadium? It's not set up for beer sales!!!

10. As GM pointed out, the question was...
"where will the Bears and Vikes play the scheduled Monday night game?"

No one knows yet. They might even have the dome repaired by then.

11. No -- it's closed for the season
MINNEAPOLIS / ST. PAUL (12/12/2010) —The following is a statement from the University of Minnesota in light of Sunday morning's Metrodome roof collapse:

“The University of Minnesota values its strong, positive relationship with the Minnesota Vikings. University officials have worked diligently today to assist the Vikings in finding solutions to the unforeseen and unfortunate circumstances resulting from the Metrodome collapse.

Following the Golden Gophers last home game against Iowa, TCF Bank Stadium was winterized for the season and is not now immediately operational for football games. Enabling the Vikings to play at our stadium presents substantial logistical and operational challenges on such short notice.

We'll continue to explore all feasible options to make it possible to accommodate the Vikings on campus to complete their season in the Twin Cities, should that be necessary.”

12. But the caption under the photo says
"The University of Minnesota is willing to work with the Minnesota Vikings to use TCF Bank Stadium as an alternative site for their Monday, Dec. 20 game should repairs to the recently-collapsed Metrodome not be completed in time."

Mixed messages.

14. I'm pretty sure they mean that it is out of the question for the Giants game, but
they could bring it back online for the Chicago game--however, they are praying that it won't come to that!

At least that's how I read it.
