Buddy Ryan's sperm cell and his scumbag cheating team
Edited on Sun Dec-12-10 08:25 PM by trumad
The game wasn’t only filled with bad play. It also came with controversy.

During a Dolphins punt, video evidence appeared to show a member of the Jets’ organization sticking his knee out as Nolan Carroll raced downfield to try to make a play. Carroll tripped and was injured on the play.

It appeared that several members of the organization were lined up along the sideline to keep the special teams “gunners” from going too far out of bounds to avoid Jets blockers.

There has not yet been any official reaction to the situation from either organization or from the league as of the end of Sunday’s game.

Check out how Ryan lines his non-players up on the sideline....fucking scumbag. The player or staff member who did this should be banned for the rest of the year.

3. It was their strength coach, Sal Alosi
Goodell will probably come down hard on him because he's not one of the NFL's moneymakers.

4. The knee is shitty. But are they standing where they aren't supposed to be?
Because if they can stand there, I have no problem with them lining up like that. Again, sticking out your knee is shitty. I have always thought there was something wrong with the fact that the gunners could go that far out of bounds and still come back in to make the play.

6. But are they standing where they shouldn't
I really don't remember the rule. Is it the bold line or do they need to be back another couple yards to that thin line?

If they can stand there, then why not line them up to? It's legal. The lean-in with the knee is a different story.

And on his arc, he was probably 3-4 yards out of bounds.

9. Well fine---
Edited on Mon Dec-13-10 07:20 AM by trumad
if Ryan wants to line the non-players up like that--- a purposeful strategy for sure.... Then the fully padded flyer should simply take them out.

Hell--- let a guy like Dansby or Urlacher be a flyer.

19. Yep - just blast him
It's an unwritten rule that when someone goes out of bounds, people on the sideline try to get out of his way and he tries not to hit them. That's just sportsmanship 101. I'd shed no tears if someone "accidentally" ran into Ulosi...

It starts with their bloated coach on down to these shmucks on the sidelines.

12. I have no problems with them lining up like that.
If they just stood there and didn't move then it's incumbent on the flyer to adjust, not them. It's their sideline, and there's nothing illegal about standing where they are.

It's the knee part that classless. Not just for the interference but because the chance of injury it can (and did) cause. That's just bush league shit. Too bad it's not hockey where they'd have to answer for it themselves instead of waiting for the league to do something about it.

18. No tolerance for that shit.
A job that permits you to be on the sidelines of the NFL is a privilege. If I were the commissioner he would be out of the league for life. If that had happened at an away game, he would be facing assault with intent to cause bodily harm charges. As the strength and conditioning coach he was completely aware of the possible results of his actions. You have to hold coaching staff to a higher standard than players "in the heat of the moment".

21. Why wait on the commissioner? The Jets themselves should bounce the guy.

Remember that player whose career ended when a ref's penalty flag hit him in the eye? And that was an accident! That's all it can take!

Even though I saw his confession and apology late last night, I didn't want to pass judgment until I could see it clearly. The Jets have done nothing in terms of actually disciplining him--yet.

22. Despicable act, but Dolphin flyers spend an absurd amount of time out of bounds
It's been going on all year. One dimensional coaching, no other explanation. Miami's flyers almost without exception peel straight to the outside, easily detoured out of bounds. It happened earlier in the Jets game and Miami was flagged for not returning to the field soon enough. Notice that Carroll seems right at home taking many steps and a delayed approach before returning to the field.

23. He was pushed out of bounds
That's why he wasn't flagged. The guy earlier was flagged because he went out of bounds on his own and didn't return "in time" - whatever that means
