Celtics top Knicks...11 Victories straight
Edited on Thu Dec-16-10 06:50 AM by SpiralHawk
The Knicks were a split second too late at the buzzer...

The New York Times take on the game:

"Officials watched a replay and confirmed that Stoudemire’s shot came too late and cemented the Celtics’ pulsating 118-116 victory on Wednesday...

"...The Celtics (20-4) allowed the most points all season and appeared out of sorts in stretching their N.B.A.-high winning streak to 11. They played without Shaquille O’Neal, who missed his third consecutive game with a calf injury..."

4. Heck of a game.
I'm from NY, and have liked the Knicks for many decades. I like Boston a lot, also. I think that this was the best game of the year.

5. Must be nice to have Amare
I know I really enjoyed watching him play all his years with Phoenix.

6. It was an excellent game!
Amar'e is a great player, but the Knicks are still a starter (and a second unit) away. Adding Carmello would make for an interesting Eastern Conference, indeed. The Celts are now without Rondo, and have three centers injured. The Big Three are going to have to carry the load until the All Star break. So far they've been up to the heavy lifting!
