...and the Brewers home crowd demonstrated that they are a true class act. Cheered like he was one of their own.

1. You gotta love real baseball fans.
They love stat milestones, no matter the team. On the other hand, he was 0 for 13 in the series sweep with the Yankess suffered against the Royals. I'm just sayin'.

9. That is so true.
We staged a fan walkout, called "Share the Wealth," while the Yankees were here the last time a strike was threatened. Funny, people can get all worked up about a sports conflict, and don't make a peep when the government screws them directly.

5. No need to remind me...
They're playing like...a normal ball team now.

But it is cool to see that, once in awhile, the game shines through.

4. He is a most gifted athlete who works very hard
The fact that he is somewhat of a publicity whore and a primadonna shouldn't prevent one from appreciating his gifts.

10. nice . . . but the REAL story here is . . .
the Yankees won a game! . . . stop the presses! . . . we may not see this again for weeks! . . .

12. well, if I'm being honest, I'd have to say the Yankees actually won . . .
this one . . . they even played a marginally good game . . . they actually drove men on base in, although they still left a goodly number stranded . . . the pitching was good, and for the first time in weeks they got some hitting to back up their starter . . . Torre cancelled BP and juggled the lineup, starting Ruben Sierra in left and benching Posada . . . the strategy seems to have worked . . . for one game, anyhow . . .
