Go Blue! Rally at Alumni Field, 7:00 p.m. tonight.
The West Coast jinx is broken.
And I was right, UCLA was the team that cheated by having someone who didn't really attend school there play on their team one year (they had to forfeit that championship, leaving them with only 10 of the 23 titles available to date.)
They are basically the Yankees of the sport, so even though their coach and players seem nice, they need to spread the wealth around.

The Super-Regonials are this weekend. Then it's on to the Series.
On edit: All I know is that the Pac-10's OSU ran the Big-10's OSU out of town last weekend.
That said, the Pac-10 doesn't look as strong as usual this year.

though I admit to following it only peripherally the past decade or so. Oregon State has a top-flight team for the first time since 1952, so it's big news here in Oregon.

College softball is an awesome game, IMHO. I just can't follow everything, and probably should admit that my initial response was misinformed and far too assumptive. (Meaning slightly prejudiced. Something I will note for the future and explore within myself.)
Still, I'm married to a woman who played college softball, and she's clearly not following it either.
