4. Rasheed and Robert Horry have a history.

Rasheed was playing for the Blazers and Horry for
the Lakers when the Blazers melted down in Game
7 of the Western Conference Finals in June 2000.
(Had a double digit lead early in the fourth quarter
and lost.)

I forgot all about that.

7. Yeah. Didn't I mention that?

Wouldn't that be funny. Not that I like Horry
or anything, but that it would by this former
Laker and not that other former Laker who would
win an ring.

Not that I've given up on the Pistons. This
is only game 1 after all.

8. His Mom Was My 4th Grade Teacher
and his HS coach is still my HS basketball coach. So you see why I'm rooting for him so hard. :)

10. Lol
He can't really come here that often. He lives in Houston because his daughter has autism or some other disability. She needs the top medical care.

He does a lot for the community though. He's built new parks and such as that. He's a good guy.

His brother was actually THE basketball player out of the two. But his brother is not nearly as tall as Robert... that was his hangup. His bro is still awesome at basketball.

Absolute bullshit!

Both feet were planted, Ginobli just ran right through him! No question! I know out of control is Ginobli's style, but give me a MFB!

16. The refs.....so it begins....
I didn't see any calls going Detroit's way (neither did the Seattle paper this morning.) Kindly point them out.

17. lots of them
nothing big and spectacular, but lots of rough play, esp in the first half before Detroit's lack of a bench wore them out.

12. If it hadn't been for the rust....
After the 5 minute mark of the first quarter, when the Pistons were up 17-4, the Spurs outscored Detroit by 29 points for the rest of the game.

Wow.
