Home field advantage does a big HERP DERP this year. |
|
Indy: Herp Derp
KC: Derp Durr
Philly: Derp Derp Derp
The only non-Derp was the one sub-.500 team, which just cracks me all the way up.
Just hoping my Pats don't pull a similar Derp next week at home.

3. The Chiefs aren't ready for prime time...yet |
|
Arrowhead may be a tough place to play, but the Chiefs just aren't yet at the level of teams like the Ravens, Patriots, or Steelers. It would have been nice to see them steal a few and make it deeper into the post-season, but it's not a real surprise to see them get thumped like they did.
But this season has demonstrated that Pioli and Haley know what they're doing. They've got a solid foundation of young players and will fill in some missing pieces of the puzzle during the off-season. Today sucked, but the future is bright.
The way the Pats have been playing, I'd be shocked to see them blow it against the Jets at home, but crazier things have happened.

4. Wildcard weekend, there is almost no homefield advantage. |
|
This weekend - divisional games - the home team has a much better percentage. Mainly because for wildcard weekend, both teams are equally tired after just finishing the season. Now this weekend all the home teams had a bye.
