Boise State to open at Husky Stadium in 2013..
The first game in the new Husky Stadium in 2013 will match Boise State against homestanding Washington.

The Huskies and Boise State announced a home-and-home series Wednesday, with the Broncos visiting Husky Stadium after a $250 million renovation on Sept. 7, 2013. Washington will play on the blue turf on Sept. 19, 2015.

The Huskies will be the fourth Pac-10 team agree to play a road game at Boise State, joining Washington State, Oregon and Oregon State.

Washington beat Boise State 24-10 in the team's only previous meeting in 2007

Hmm..a home and home series. Where's that Boise State PR firm claiming that no one wants to play them?

1. Arizona State needs to take a trip up there one of these years
As I said I've seen BSU in their first season in Division 1A at Sun Devil Stadium.

I hope it is a well played game for both teams. Washington's stadium has very beautiful scenery.

2. No one still wants to play them...
when did Washington become "someone"? Props to the Pac-10 teams for at least being willing to schedule them, though.

That crap was put out by Boise State. Alabama claims Boise never even contacted them. Of course, I can't imagine why they would want to play a top SEC school. A probable loss would put a big dent in their BCS busting formula..

And UW has been somebody in the past, and after whipping Nebraska in the Holiday Bowl, I'd say they're on their way back to becoming a national power under Steve Sarkasian..

I think the SEC is far and away the best conference in college football, but they're not brave when it comes to out-of-conference scheduling. They're not going to schedule a home-and-home with Boise state. They don't have to. They don't need the strength of schedule bump, and have no desire to travel to Boise. It's practically a lock that the winner of the SEC will play in the BCS Championship for the next 2 or 3 years. Maybe in a few years if the other conferences can close the gap, that will change, but that's not the case now.

As to UW becoming a national power, I don't see it right now. Sarkasian will certainly show improvement, but I don't see them winning the Pac-12 anytime in the near future (next 5 years or so)

8. LOL...Okay..
but, despite Boise's claims that they'll play anyone anywhere, I'll take the word of the Alabama AD (who says Boise never called) and Nebraska's ( who claims a deal with Boise fell through because they refused to come to Lincoln unless they were paid 1 million bucks)..Boise is full of BS or at the very least stretching the truth, and it appears you've fallen for it hook line and sinker. Don't feel bad though, you're hardly alone..

And UW was 0-12 the year before Sark took over. In two years he's transformed them into a 7 win team with a Holiday Bowl win over Big 12 Championship game participant Nebraska. They may take a slight step back next year with the loss of Jake Locker, but overall the program is definitely on the rise..

9. The program is on the rise, but going from 0-7 wins is easier
than going from 7-11 or 12 wins. The Pac-12 has some good teams, and I don't see Washington making that jump anytime soon. As for Alabama, (or any other SEC team for that matter), why would they want to play Boise, and since Boise doesn't have a big conference TV deal, I don't blame them for trying to squeeze some money out of opponents.

10. In all this
Boise State is playing Georgia next year at the Georgia Dome. I don't know if they are considered a top team ever since Stafford and Moreno went to the NFL.

11. They're not anymore,
though they tend to peak and fall more frequently then Washington does. Good to see at least 1 SEC team step outside their comfort zone out of conference. I was very surprised to see Alabama play Penn State last year and Arkansas play USC a few years back.

12. Bama plays Penn State again this year, in Happy Valley
then plays Michigan in a one shot at Cowboys Stadium, then has a home and home with Michigan State. Bama has scheduled strong out of conference opponents early in the season ever since Saban arrived.

13. I didn't realize they were going to continue with this,

though I did know the Penn state was a home-and-home. It is rather nice to see an SEC team do it.

4. Washington hasn't been anyone for about 20 years.
You never fail to drink the Haterade when it comes to the Broncos. Seriously, did Chris Petersen sleep with your sister or something?

14. Yes, it was a nice 12 point whoopin on the 5th best team in the Big 12
by the 4th or 5th best team in the Pac 10.
