Gee, I didn't know that...

And no matter what you might think of him, one thing you have to admit...he's a big game player..

6. I don't think Cheney was convicted but I still consider him a
war criminal. I have been to that town in GA. It's a place I have been to when we were looking for schools for my son. no chance he would ever be brought up on charges

10. maybe he learned a good lesson - I certainly hope so
It's a shame that someone who is such a great Q-back doesn't have his head on straight.

That being said, Pittsburgh's going to the Super Bowl.

14. because the girl didn't want to charge him
Listen to the police officers testimony--there is evidence on tape of Roethlisberger being an ass or WORSE--including his genitalia hanging out. Considering how awful rape victims are treated ESPECIALLY agaisnt celebs (that girl that accused Kobe was truly raped by the media nad the sports world, way worse than anything said about Kobe. You try being called a slut by the MSM and see how you like it)
You do know that 90% of the time rape goes unreported or charges are never pressed for a reason right? Its not beccause it doesn't happen, its because the victim doesn't want to be victimized again.
BTW, Goodell suspended him BECAUSE he saw the same evidence that the police saw. But what do I know. Clearly the word of a star athelete who has reason to lie is much better than a police officer on the scene (who even admitted he likes the Steelers but was disgusted by what happened)

15. I'll say it again....
he wasn't charged--- he wasn't arrested---he wasn't convicted--- nothing---

Seriously---how the fuck do you know that he raped the girl? You don't know--- you only speculate.

So---speculation is the new brand of justice?

16. Trumad, Upton I can't go along with you on this
This is a small college town with a student body of 5,000. This university has made great strides to become as respected as it has. This school used to be an also ran school and through a lot of hard work it has become the third rated school in Georgia after GT and UGA. This was my son's second choice after UGA( where he will be attending). We still wouldn't mind him going there as he would be in honors at GCSU. This school is in the public "liberal arts schools" which are trying to compete in the type of education that one receives at small private schools(20 in the country). Class size averages 15- 20 students. The largest class is 82 students(largest hall in the school).

Kids who go here are after a really good experience. The downtown is really small and the kids are good kids by and large.

This girl had nothing to gain and she had to drop out for at least a semester. Rothiesberg was walking around this bar with his dick out. he is a lout and walks out on checks at restaurants all the time.

This guy raped this girl.

19. I'm not denying the guy is a slob/douche.
But I strongly believe that it was not proven that he did and therefore, it is nothing more than speculation.

17. Civil suit in Roethlisberger rape accusation before Nevada Supreme Court
From about a month ago, December 27th (Las Vegas Sun) stemming from the Harrah's Lake Tahoe incident:

CARSON CITY – A civil suit against Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger by a casino employee who accuses him of sexually assaulting her is now before the Nevada Supreme Court.

It’s a pre-trial battle between Roethlisberger and Andrea McNulty on where the case should be tried.

A district judge has ruled the trial should be held in Reno in Washoe County, but Roethlisberger and his lawyers have appealed to switch the case to Douglas County where the alleged assault took place.

McNulty filed her civil suit in July 2009 accusing Roethlisberger of assault, sexual assault and battery, false imprisonment, false pretenses, fraud and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

MORE: http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2010/dec/27/case-involving-pittsburgh-steelers-quarterback-ben/?loc=interstitialskip

I believe the criminal cases were dropped for lack of evidence needed to convict beyond a reasonable doubt, though as we've seen from O.J. Simpson, civil cases do not carry the same burden of proof. Roethlisberger could be found guilty.
