a grade II tear is more painful than a grade III tear.

Rather than spouting the "he's a pussy" talk, he had a serious injury (and being the "franchise" player) and with the temps outside may well have ended his career by trying to play on.

At those temps, odd things happen to muscles and tendons.

Idiot! They told him no in the locker room. He said he wanted to try to go. He went in. Couldn't plant his feet and couldn't throw. Med staff said to coach "we told you so". Coach sits him down.

I'm no Cutler fan at all but I can't fault him for this. He did give it a go and his pass hit Hester's ankles. It was only a 7-9 yard pass so if he couldn't make that, he would have problems the whole game.
