Wilson footballs are off to Dallas
The Wilson Football Factory hummed with activity late into the night on Sunday after the conclusion of the AFC Championship game, where the Pittsburgh Steelers defeated the New York Jets. The earlier NFC Championship game had determined the Green Bay Packers would travel to the Super Bowl on Sunday, February 6 at the Dallas Cowboys' stadium.

Once the competitors of the XLV Super Bowl were set, the Wilson Football Factory employees were able to begin work on 100 footballs for the big game. Thousands more for retail sale will be produced as well.

Plant Manager Dan Riegle said that the 100 game balls would be finished and shipped by Monday afternoon. Wilson, who has had a football at every Super Bowl, utilizes 120 employees in their factory, and they are constantly filling orders for NFL and college footballs, as well as balls for other sports. Riegle said that the factory can make 3,000 balls a day.

Riegle, who said he is used to having national attention at this time every year, noted that ESPN was at the factory on Sunday evening to tape the making of the Super Bowl footballs. He also said that the Today television show would be filming at the factory on Tuesday morning.

3. Ohio has the football factory. Ohio has the Football Hall of Fame.
Ohio has two of the worst NFL teams in football. Go figure.
