how about local sports?
my high school g-girls at basketball are having a year that can only be described as amazing.

16-1 with there only loss to a school twice there size.

Lets hear some of your local sports stories instead of the endless pro arguments..lets hear some good stories for a change.

1. I've watched four
girls basketball games in the past 36 hours: my daughters' school's 7th grade team, 8th grade, junior varsity, and varsity. I think it's a blast.

I also attend some of the boys games. However, both of my sons are long out of high school, and the girls teams are better than the boys right now.

My daughters play three sports -- soccer, basketball, and track. They keep me busy.

I am hoping to get a chance to watch some high school wrestling again soon.

3. My son's high school wrestling team is having a great year.
They have not won their Conference since 1975. And the same team has won the conference 15 times in the last 16 years with a 56-dual winning streak. Last Thursday, my son'a team ended that streak to go undefeated in the conference. Assuming they do well in the conference tournament on Saturday (they are a good tournament team, too), they will win conference this year. My son is a freshmen wrestling 160 and is undefeated in conference and on track for a 30 win season (which is great for a freshmen on the higher end of the weights). He had to bump up to 171 at the dual and beat the guy to seal the deal on the win.
