IT'S TIME: what is your Super Bowl pick?
Add a score if you're feeling bold.

I think the Packers will win.

You?

4. Steelers fan since the 3rd grade here
so I'm hoping for a Pittsburgh win, but most of all, I'm hoping for a GOOD GAME! One of those games that gives me palpitations and makes me hoarse!

13. Come on Will--- you've been on this forum as long as anyone...
You never heard of the famous Trumad reverse pick.

It wasn't to long ago that I figured that I was horrible at picking games---every team I picked to win would lose badly--- SO--I decided to pick against my picks... and I gotta tell you, my winning percentage went up.

Convoluted I know...

Go Steelers.

7. Steelers By 7
Hard to root for either. Bear fans have to hate the Pack, and it's hard to root for Rothlisberger, especially the way the media is beatifying him for "all he's been through" (conveniently forgetting that it's all self-inflicted).

But, i see this as a 24-17 type of thing. Not a shoot-out, not a grind it out thing, just a standard NFL score where one really good defense makes one more big play and either scores themselves, or sets up the offense for the killshot.

16. One of two options
Packers win 2-0 in a total defensive struggle. Worst Super Bowl ever. Tim Masthay (Packer punter) wins the MVP. Riots in major cities at the awfulness of the game. Douchebags proliferate (more so than normal) on the DU Sports forum.

Packers win 35-34 in a close-fought contest of two offensive juggernauts. Rodgers leads a last-minute drive that more resembles Tecmo Super Bowl than the actual Super Bowl. Judged one of the greatest games of all time. Rodgers takes home the MVP. Douchebagas proliferate (more so than normal) on the DU Sports forum.

18. I think the match up is more in favor of that Packers on this one.
Sure Pitt has a good D but their best D is their run D. Packers running game, as I'm sure you know, sucks ass. Pitt's pass D is better than average but not elite. I think the Packers can pick them apart with the pass.

37. Pittsburgh actually has the #1 pass defense in the NFL as well.
You're correct about their run D though, allowing just 3.0 YPC.

21. A 2-0 Super Bowl would be the BEST SB ever.
Edited on Tue Feb-01-11 03:37 PM by LisaM
The only thing even close would be a 3-2 score, or even 5-3.

17. It's a battle of douchebags for me. I think the Pack will win though.
Douchebag 1: Steelers fans. There is no way on God's green earth I want to live with "7 super bowls!" for the rest of my life.
Douchebag 2: Packers fans. OK, perhaps I am jaded on this one as a Vikings fan living 45 miles south of the Packers' holy land, but it will be unbearable here if the Packers win. I heard some slackjawed idiot talking on the radio about how pissed she was that if the Packers win, they won't go through downtown on the way from the airport to the field. Her reasoning was "It's been, like, forever since we've had a Super Bowl win in Green Bay." Fuck you. Die in a Fire. You have no fucking idea what it is like to be without a Super Bowl as a fan.

27-21. The Packer defense forces a turnover late to win it and Woodson wins MVP because of it.
GO PACK GO!

Pittsburgh is consistent in winning the SB when they get that far. Should be a good game, in fact, could be one of the best SB's ever.

32. lucky socks?
its not one of them: 'dont ever wash them while they are winning' things, I hope
because if thats the case.....we'd rather see them than apply any sort of sniff test

I'm gonna say Packers, and the way they have played this year with all the close games,,,,,,its gonna be close and down to the wire.

So an exciting SB finish is in the works. If I faint from excitement wave your socks under my nose :hi:

And in the crisis America faces, you've got to pull for the team owned by the city in which it plays.
