Video: Massive Fuckup by Officials at the End of Rutgers-St Johns Game
Edited on Wed Mar-09-11 05:21 PM by MadBadger
In addition to awful calls at the very end of the game (fouls not beign called), there was an absolutely egregious No Call that went against Rutgers.

Up 2 St Johns steals the ball with like 5 seconds left. The St Johns player proceeds to take the ball and walk with it out of bounds and chuck the ball in the air with 1.7 seconds left. The officials say game is over and left the court. Unbelievable.

You'll be hearing about this all day.

4. Unintentional bad reffing, or intentional for STJ, who were basically
playing at home?

5. Bad call.
I think Mike Rice distracted the refs complaining about a foul.

7. It was bad officiating, period.
I'm very happy St. John's won. They played sloppy all game and didn't really deserve it, but I am still glad they got the W.
But that was terrible officiating by what is supposed to be a top-notch crew.

8. St Johns is VERY lucky
Because thats more than just Rutgers ball with 1.7 seconds left. I think him throwing the ball like that is a Technical, which in college if im not mistaken is two shots and the ball.

11. You're right
They are lucky and it is two shots and the ball. The St. Johns player is a dope, but the refs literally gave up on the game. Terrible.

9. yeah, that was pathetic
the officials simply quit on the game. It should have been at least Rutgers ball and possibly (as you mention above) a technical foul to boot.

10. St J was fouling all over the place, getting away with everything in those last few
seconds...it wasn't just the traveling or the 1.7 seconds...those refs appeared determined to not see anything.
