The Baltimore Ravens Had The Most Interesting Formation I've Ever Seen |
|
To start their game with the Jets today. They came out with a two guards and a center in front of the QB.
They had the tackles lined up right next to the wide receivers on the outside of the field. If you had to pciture it, it looked like three wide receivers on either side, with two slot recievers.
Waaaay cool.
Unfortunately, they got a clock violation and had to scrap whatever play it was going to be.

Oh those tricky Ravens, as Boomer Berman would say.
I'm ticked my favorite NFL player, safety Ed Reed of the Ravens, was denied another 100+ yard INT return for a TD today, when his idiot teammate grabbed Quincy Carter at about the 10 yard line. Just turn your head and block, moron, or stay out of the way. Ed Reed wasn't going to be tackled by an exhausted quarterback.
Reed might be the NFL Defensive Player if the Year. I still can't believe he was available so late three years ago, something like the 20th pick in round one after starring at Miami. Like the late Joel Buchsbaum of Pro Football Weekly wrote that year, "Ed Reed makes big plays and bigger plays."
