Massively Overrated = Big East |
|
I fell for it big time. Had Syracuse, Pitt, Duke, and Notre Dame in the Championship. What a bunch of baloney. This conference was ridiculously overrated.

2. The Big East myth is a creation of ESPN |
|
Edited on Mon Mar-21-11 07:30 AM by Hokie
ESPN pushes the Big East, the conference in their own back yard, incessantly. They carry more games during the regular season and have carried every single game of their conference tournament live for several years. Charles Barkley hit the nail on the head last last night. He said they have a bunch of average to good but not great players and a few great coaches. He said they really have only one great player, Kimba Walker. I heard an ESPN apologist already spinning on the radio this morning that the Big East had a record of 9 - 9 which was not a losing record. That is deceptive because most of the wins were int he first round against much lower seeds. Only Marquette has over performed while UConn has held serve so far.
