Just how unlikely is this March Madness Final Four group?... |
of the 5.9 million people who filled out brackets in ESPN's online March Madness pool, the number of people who correctly predicted VCU-Butler-UConn-Kentucky is: 2 http://www.myrecordjournal.com/latestnews/article_f1c18edc-5a22-11e0-be64-001cc4c002e0.htmlSid

3. If the picks were random the odds would be 635,376 to 1. |
Gives some argument to just tossing a coin. 5,900,000 random picks of the Final Four would have resulted in 9 correct picks.
BTW, I like brussel sprouts too. I tried to grow some last year, but they didn't develop right. I think my wife must have poisoned them.

7. The Villinova coach made a good point today on ESPN Radio |
He said the mid majors are succeeding in the NCAA because they typically have more juniors and seniors than the big name schools who typically lose their best players after one year. This makes a lot of sense when you think about it. If all of the Kentucky team from last year had returned they would have been dominant this year. As is, Kentucky is good enough to win because they reloaded but they are still freshmen. They played like freshmen and lost a lot of close games on the road. The may be mature enough now to win but that shall be seen.
